  2. 2 Access to Openfiler Configuration
    1. 2.1 Launch your browser (e.g. Google Chrome)
    2. 2.2 Type URL: https://127.0.0.1:5446 (NAT forwarding to 10.0.2.10:446)
    3. 2.3 Accept Security Alert
    4. 2.4 Enter "openfiler" as Username, "password" as Password and Click "Log In"
  3. 3 Configure Network Configuration
    1. 3.1 Click "System", Fill Network Access Configuration Form with "intnet1" as Name, "10.1.0.0" as Network, "255.255.255.0" as Netmask, "share" as Type and Click "Update"
  4. 4 Configure Accounts
    1. 4.1 Click "Accounts"
    2. 4.2 Check "Use LDAP", Check "Use Local LDAP", Enter "dc=example,dc=com" as Root bind DN, Enter "tototo" as Root bind password and Click "Submit"
    3. 4.3 Click "Administration"
    4. 4.4 Enter "sybase" as Group Name, Check "Override auto GID", Enter "1500" as GID and Click "Add Group"
    5. 4.5 Click "User Administration", Enter "sybase" as Username, Enter (twice) "tototo" as Password, Check "Override auto UID", Enter "1500" as UID and Click "Add User"
  5. 5 Configure Services
    1. 5.1 Click "Services", Click "Enable NFS", Click "Enable iSCSI target", and Click "Disable iSCSI initiator"
  6. 6 Configure Volumes
    1. 6.1 Click "Volumes", Click "Block Devices", and Click "/dev/sdb"
    2. 6.2 Select "Physical volume" and Click "Create"
    3. 6.3 Click "Back to the list..."
    4. 6.4 Click "/dev/sdc"
    5. 6.5 Select "Physical volume" and Click "Create"
    6. 6.6 Click "Volume Groups", Enter "sybase_bin" as VG Name, Check "/dev/sdb1" and Click "Add volume group"
    7. 6.7 Enter "sybase_data" as VG Name, Check "/dev/sdc1" and Click "Add volume group"
    8. 6.8 Click "Add Volume", Select "sybase_data", Click "Change", Enter "iscsi" as Volume Name, Select "Max Space", Select "iSCSI" and Click "Create"
    9. 6.9 Select "sybase_bin" and Click "Change"
    10. 6.10 Click "Add Volume", Enter "nfs" as Volume Name, Select "Max Space", Select "Ext3" and Click "Create"
  7. 7 Configure iSCSI
    1. 7.1 Click "iSCSI Targets", Enter "iqn.2006-01.com.nas10:sybase_data" as Target IQN and Click "Add"
    2. 7.2 Click "LUN Mapping" and Click "Map"
    3. 7.3 Click "Network ACL", Select "Allow" and Click "Update"
  8. 8 Configure Shares
    1. 8.1 Click "Shares", Click "nfs", Enter "ce155" as Folder name and Click "Create"
    2. 8.2 Click "ce155" and Click "Make Share"
    3. 8.3 Scroll Down
    4. 8.4 Click "PG", Click "RW" and Click "Update"
    5. 8.5 Click "RW" and Click "Edit"
    6. 8.6 Select "no_root_squash" 
    7. 8.7 Click "Update"


Architecture

Node: openfiler10


Access to Openfiler Configuration

Launch your browser (e.g. Google Chrome)

Type URL: https://127.0.0.1:5446 (NAT forwarding to 10.0.2.10:446)

Accept Security Alert

Enter "openfiler" as Username, "password" as Password and Click "Log In"

Configure Network Configuration

Click "System", Fill Network Access Configuration Form with "intnet1" as Name, "10.1.0.0" as Network, "255.255.255.0" as Netmask, "share" as Type and Click "Update"

Configure Accounts

Click "Accounts"

Check "Use LDAP", Check "Use Local LDAP", Enter "dc=example,dc=com" as Root bind DN, Enter "tototo" as Root bind password and Click "Submit"

Click "Administration"

Enter "sybase" as Group Name, Check "Override auto GID", Enter "1500" as GID and Click "Add Group"

Click "User Administration", Enter "sybase" as Username, Enter (twice) "tototo" as Password, Check "Override auto UID", Enter "1500" as UID and Click "Add User"

Configure Services

Click "Services", Click "Enable NFS", Click "Enable iSCSI target", and Click "Disable iSCSI initiator"

Configure Volumes

Click "Volumes", Click "Block Devices", and Click "/dev/sdb"

Select "Physical volume" and Click "Create"

Click "Back to the list..."

Click "/dev/sdc"

Select "Physical volume" and Click "Create"

Click "Volume Groups", Enter "sybase_bin" as VG Name, Check "/dev/sdb1" and Click "Add volume group"

Enter "sybase_data" as VG Name, Check "/dev/sdc1" and Click "Add volume group"

Click "Add Volume", Select "sybase_data", Click "Change", Enter "iscsi" as Volume Name, Select "Max Space", Select "iSCSI" and Click "Create"

Select "sybase_bin" and Click "Change"

Click "Add Volume", Enter "nfs" as Volume Name, Select "Max Space", Select "Ext3" and Click "Create"

Configure iSCSI

Click "iSCSI Targets", Enter "iqn.2006-01.com.nas10:sybase_data" as Target IQN and Click "Add"

Click "LUN Mapping" and Click "Map"

Click "Network ACL", Select "Allow" and Click "Update"

Configure Shares

Click "Shares", Click "nfs", Enter "ce155" as Folder name and Click "Create"

Click "ce155" and Click "Make Share"

Scroll Down

Click "PG", Click "RW" and Click "Update"

Click "RW" and Click "Edit"

Select "no_root_squash" 

Click "Update"
