A: First, when you type this name in VirtualBox, It detects automaticaly you want install an Oracle Linux !
Next, network address depends on the number at the end of the name.
You can create as many virtual machine as you want and need to, while easily knowing IP address of each.

  • Redhat (EL not Fedora), but is not free,
  • CentOS, but has taken too long to release its EL version 6

Q: Why do you use NAT network ?

posted 7 Jul 2011, 05:52 by Fabien Reygrobellet   [ updated 19 Aug 2011, 11:08 ]

A: because I don't know your own IP address plan. So, with NAT interfaces, I 'm sure that everybody will use VirtualBox default NAT network address (10.0.X.0) unless you have changed it.
However you can always change NAT interface to "Bridge" one, and change IP address accordingly .
